Kim Domingo bills herself as a French Filipina model, with a claim that this is her official Instagram and you should be wary of any posers trying to claim they're her. What strikes me most, aside from KimD's super perk posterior or her surgically perfect chest is the fact that FHM was cool with using a model who has braces. I'm sure there are plenty of fetishists who love a grown woman in braces, I'm just seeing a magazine that was willing to roll with a temporary imperfection in an otherwise flawless woman. Are Brooklyn girls really tough?
New York will chew you up and spit you out if you let it. I’m no fighter, but I use other ways to get what I want, such as confidence and education.

Think we’ll survive out there?
People in Brooklyn are friendly. As Notorious B.I.G. put it, “We spread love the Brooklyn way.” There are all walks of life in the city, but if you find the right crowd, you’ll do just fine.

Any Pinoy influences growing up?
My parents always exposed me to the Filipino culture. They spoke in Tagalog and fed me Filipino food every day. My mom is from Capiz and my dad is from Tondo, so watch out!  More on FHM

Do you realize that some of today’s staffers were still in grade school then?
Oh my! Ang tagal na. That was 2005. I was new to modeling then. Sobrang kabado ako sa shoot na yun. It was my first time to go sexy in front of a crowd! But I’m thankful because dun nag-start yung career ko, kasi after nun nagkaroon ako ng projects—print ads and car shows.


But you were only visible for a short time after that. What happened?
I finished school, then nag-work muna sandali. Nag-start ako ng business—cupcakes. I struck a deal with companies and distributed the goods. I also worked as an assistant sales manager at a real estate company. Pero easy money din kasi sa car shows kaya eventually I went back to modeling. I do both now—baking and modeling.

The schedule must be crazy! How do you manage your time?
I use a planner. Sa isang araw sinusulat ko yung gagawin ko tapos I stick to it para matapos ko lahat.

About those cupcakes. What makes them special? And more important, did you bring samples for us?
Ha ha! No, sorry! I always do two recipes, tapos I mix the best of both worlds. Basta pinapasarap ko talaga siya.

Do you ever bake late at night, possibly in your sleepwear?
I bake in the afternoon para ready to deliver the next day. I wear an apron and shorts. When you see me sobrang dami kong flour sa katawan. Messy talaga.

"Ngayon I’m more comfortable being in a studio. I’m more myself. Kasi sometimes when you’re in front of a camera, you’re not being yourself. Sa utak mo, sasabihin mo yung gustong marinig ng ibang tao, or to please other people, or to make a good impression. But now it’s so much different. I guess I just show my real self. This is who I am. Kung masaya ako, masaya ako. Kung ayaw ko, ayaw ko. I’m more open now."
